International Beatleweek Festival has been shortlisted for the International Tourism Award at the 2026 Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards, recognising organisations that successfully attract and engage visitors from around the world.
Organised by Cavern City Tours, the festival welcomes thousands of Beatles fans to Liverpool each year and attracts visitors from more than 30 countries, helping to strengthen the city’s position as a leading international music tourism destination.
The latest shortlist follows the festival’s success at the 2025 Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards, where International Beatleweek Festival was crowned Event/Festival of the Year following a public vote, highlighting its enduring popularity with audiences both locally and internationally.
The recognition also follows another successful festival in August 2026, which featured a packed programme of live music, special events, tours and guest appearances across venues throughout the Liverpool City Region, including Liverpool Philharmonic Hall and Port Sunlight Village.
Jon Keats, Director of Cavern City Tours, said:
“We are incredibly proud to be shortlisted for the International Tourism Award. For four decades, International Beatleweek Festival has welcomed visitors to Liverpool from around the world and remains one of the city’s most significant music tourism events.
“Beatleweek is about far more than music. Every year we see people from different countries and cultures come together in Liverpool, united by their love of The Beatles and the city they called home. The festival creates connections that transcend borders, cultures and languages, and it is not uncommon for friendships formed during Beatleweek to last a lifetime.”
Winners of the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards will be announced in February 2027.
